The company boasts strong experience providing services to local farmers and is run by local leaders. It has competent personnel who fulfill customer demand within cost and budget and is led by qualified managerial staff which includes its hands-on board of directors. The Grain Company has a wide range of equipment which helps farmers throughout the farming lifecycle from preparation, planting, ploughing to harvesting and logistics. As a farmer-owned business venture which came as a forward integration strategy, the company maintains a strong bias towards creating value for farmers, including those who hold no shares in the company. Our commitment is to continuously improve our service offering in ways that drive costs down for farmers while unleashing the potential of the region as a rural development hub and food basket. Matiele Grainco is a registered private company as per the Companies Act no 71 of 2008. It was founded in 2014 by 17 black commercial farmers in Matatiele. It builds on the strong communitarian principles that have characterized African people throughout history. It is located at Stanford farm, 20 km out of Matatiele town with easy access and can handle larger vehicles used in pickup and delivery of plant and equipment. The location is next to Matatiele town which also benefits from easy access to service stations, shopping centres, banks, B&B.
